I have fun listening to people double-checking my address, and trying to pronounce "Puyallup". :)

Oh, and the reason to link autism to rainy weather is plain - when the clouds roll in, there's no glaring sun beating down on your eyes, so of course we tend to gather here...

One of the first things we saw when we moved out here was that crazy "Do the Puyallup" fair TV commercial with the talking animals.

Potential Discussion Topics for PNWers

1. ) The love/hate relationship between Western Washingtonians and it's rain. VS. Eastern Washington and the dry hot apple orchand bonanza that seems to sprout on every hillside.

2. ) The tumbleweed population of Montana. For the love of god, let's bring civilization already. Immigrants, land development, anything really.

3. ) Why the hell is California so expensive to live in? It's more interesting laws, & views on the current reign of it's Austrian Governator.

4. ) Does Idaho really yield the best potatoes in the land? My chip bag indicates yes. Obviously i'm not too familiar with Idaho, but there must be something specific to that state worth conversing about. Let's find one.

5. ) Russian immigration from the north through Alaska VS. Mexican immigration from the south. For example Oregon seems to have a decent population of both. & why no one really cares about the Canadian border-hoppers quite as much as any other kind.

Fire away ladies and gentlemen

Pew-y'all-up

Close - pew-AL-up (with the A is in "apple"). I used to think it was named that because when you threw a large rock into the river, it made that sound.

my original point was that many locals mispronounce it.

A meet up sounds like a good idea! Not sure if I would actually attend as I'm pretty anti-social in person, but I would surely think about it! I'm in Seattle. Well, SeaTac really, I just claim Seattle so out of towners know where I'm from. :D
