Heck, a gift by nature is given without expecting anything back!! ! Take as much as you can. You don't have to feel guilty about that!
And 27 is still young!! ! You don't have the resources, time, experience, etc. If you soak all that up now, you can offer more later and really make a difference to people. Especially ones who were in your shoes all those years ago; you'll be able to reach out to them better than anyone else on the planet can!
For example, similar to the Japanese hikikomori http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori, your condition(s) keep you rather isolated and under parental care. In America, this semi-isolation is relatively rare and gives you some special insights. You can pass this knowledge on. You just have to overcome the normal apathy and feelings like you don't care about anything at all. If you figure a way out of the apathy, for example, you'll be extremely helpful to others who are experiencing the same feelings and you might keep them from doing something stupid that they'll regret later.
Don't be afraid to reach out and try to help others. You'll get shot down sometimes and even reviled but if you can help another suffering human, it's totally worth it!
