Hey guys, I need a little bit of help here. I just emailed a local community theatre group in my area twice, the second time being a more revised email, and i have waited for around 16-48 hours for a response from them, and so far, i have not recieved a single reply. For those of you who have joined community theatre, how long did you have to wait for a reply from them, if you emailed them at all? How long should I expect to wait for a reply back from them via email?

It's probably staffed by volunteers, and they may not even read that account every day. I'd give it a week.

I've never heard of a community theater needing a joining to be able to participate. I do theater a lot and am actually going to an art high school for theater. All you should need to do is find out audition dates for the play and then, just go to the audition and do you best! It's called a community theater for a reason, it's for everybody. No need to join.

^ Same with my experience. With the particular company I was involved with most, once you were cast in a show you were then given the opportunity to actually join the company. I believe that was the only way - unless you were participating in a show by doing backstage/technical work.

Try going to an open audition.
