Putnam's book bowling alone examines the isolation of US individuals the decline of civic organizations and the threat that poses to Us democracy. The problem of social capital. I suppose the solution is to seek out college clubs in the real world. Does anyone have ideas for the type of community groups are out there? I suppose neighborhood associations, freemasons, fraternal orders, political and activist groups, athletic leagues etc It gives you the experience of an Athenian citizen at a town meeting. Anyone have ideas on groups?
