Does anyone else have certain techniques they use when socialising. I think because I'm more logical and like routines one of reasons I have trouble keeping friends is that I get stressed out and angry when I don't know for sure what is going to happen(for example a change in plans). I've learned to try and control this and try and reassure myself instead of getting upset. Does this make any sense or am I losing it?

I'm NT, and this changing of plans bothers me. My son is on the spectrum, and we very purposely tried to mix up his routines when he was young, so that he adapted to changes of routine all the time. When he was very young, this was difficult, but now, he likes changes in routine.

Try and change your routine on yourself. Mix things up, force yourself to do your morning routine in a different order.

I have no problems with routine change...got used to it mainly due to employers switching the schedules at the last minute..I had to be on my toes for the change....my job depended on it.
Employment is a good way to learn to adapt to changes.
