Whenever I'm in a conversation, I can never think of any new topics to talk about. This usually leads to an awkward silence, and eventually the end of the conversation. What should I do in these situations? Thanks for the advice.

hey i'll try & think in-depth about this another time, stimming now.
my first thoughts: Don't talk about the weather! unless it's your special interest.
i frequently ask people "So How are you?" if i think an awkward silence looms near.
-bump- hope you get some advice.

For me, you need to inform the person you're talking that you're not good in thinking on what to talk about so that he/she will think for u :)
