If PR is required for their job, can aspies be good at it if they study it? Presumably they will come off as a bit rehearsed, but would you say that they are capable of being good at such a thing?

I do some PR as part of my job. Actually, there's a lot to it that is "non-verbal." I maintain the Web site, I blog, I write newsletters and press releases. I enjoy that part of it. When it comes to speaking to the media, giving interviews, etc., other staff will usually do that, just because they're better at it. Sometimes I'll get phone calls asking for information and those can throw me for a loop, but I do my best with that. So do I have the skill set to be the PR person at any organization? No, but I have enough skills for the situation I'm in, and that's enabled me to be successful at it.

Sure. It may take you a while to learn the speel, but once you practice it and become confident, it will appear as natural as anyone else. Unexpected situations may still throw you off though, so be prepared for as many situations as possible...
