I know what you mean about wanting something & not wanting it at the same time. Was it really that 1 remark? I got remarks like that, day in & day out for years & only got told to 'grow up' & 'just get over it'! Surely not, then? There will be some truth in the 'if you don't like yourself, others won't' idea- I'm not quite up to explaining it, so I hope it makes enough sense or somebody else can help!

I guess you could say that you're not alone, in the sense that no-one else can make sense of that concept...
