I need some advice on making friends. I started to get a few, but then I moved again. Now I am just in a new place, and don't know anybody and don't see myself getting any friends. I joined a computer group, but it's mostly people much older than me but still would not know how to make friends. It comes so easy to some people to have many friends, but I don't know how they do it. Nor can I see how this guy that can't hardly spell is always having girlfriends. I guess I forgot how to do that after having the same girlfriend for almost 5 years. Life is boring and lonely!! !

I would recommend searching online for some groups/clubs in your area for people who share similar interests. You're bound to meet friends this way.

When I moved (7 months ago or so) I first made friends by going to the bar. Then when school started I met people in class and made more friends by going to the bar with those people.

I know it's not for everybody, but it's pretty sure-fire if you can handle it (easy enough for me because I like to drink, and drinking tempers my sensory issues A LOT). In pretty short order I made a small, solid group of friends; and a much wider network of acquaintances that, in a small town such as this, I tend to run into quite a lot.

I think they made themselves perfectly clear.

I recently was told about a Java User Group in the area by my CS professor. Maybe I'll meet some buddies there. Thanks for the advice.
