I can't stand the people in my electronics class. They tell me that I have nothing going on in my mind, and that I am antisocial. Electronics has been one of my interests, and I wanted to take this class because I want to peruse a career in opto electronics. I have tried to initiate a conversation with these kids, but they have snapped at me and said "shut up, you're not in this conversation", or "shut up, nobody likes you". They then tease and harass me in school because I don't talk to them when they act "friendly" towards me. They tell people how I only give one word answers to them when they ask me questions. Giving one word answers shows them I don't want to talk to them. I don't talk to people who disrespect me like that. I don't know if I should tell the teacher about the situation, or just ignore them. Dealing with people like that in the class is making me loose interest in the material.

You could do what I did throughout high school and scream at and/or intimidate anyone who gives you a hard time, or better yet throw a desk across the room while swearing uncontrollably. I didnt have a ton of friends, but kids very rarely disrespected me, at least to my face :)

I made it through high school by simply not reacting. Bullys tend to get bored if you don't react to them. There's probably better ways to handle it, but I found silence to be less problem causeing then say.. throwing a desk.

That's what I'm doing, it works quite well. But in electronics it didn't matter because the teacher actually knows how to do his job. The class wont dare mess up and bully people when he's the teacher. Ever.
