OK. I know basic social training can take hard work, but I think I can do it anyway. What's your take? With basic stuff down, is it possible to work hard for networking/business skills. I should know because I want to be an actor someday and I am not going to waste my career time not learning how to network.

I am in a similar situation. My career requires networking to get hired or connect to others in my field. I'm in computer design and graphics and looking for clients and companies. Today I was the most charismatic at my part-time job than I've ever been, but I have been working hard for a long time, and today was only practice. I'm sure I could give you some pointers based on what you already know how to do.

Are you in a business major, or anything similar? Have you had any training in business? What would you consider "basic stuff" -- smiling, eye contact, exchanging business cards? Or a firm handshake, introduction to yourself, and good conversation, maybe?

Also how far along are you in acting? I'm just curious.

I am far from acting. I am only studying as much as I can about it for now. You may even say it has become one of my obsessions.
