I live like 6 miles away from school and there are no buses, and the only reason I go to the school is because of the IB program. I hate not having a car, and I'm 18. My mom takes forever to put me in driver's ed, and I'm sick of it. My counselor thinks my mom should put me in driver's ed now, because I dont wanna get to college next year asking people for rides. I have a friends who gives me a ride just about everyday, but he leaves early sometimes, so I have to ask other people. One person alwaays has bball practice, so there's nothing i can do there. And the girls never wanna give me rides for some reason. So F the ...right?

Yea, not so easy when you're at a community service project where it's only them. One of the girls who I always ask and always has an excuse was there. I asked her and she said "I have to meet up with Jared," her bf the guy from the bball team, and she also said "and idk what my sister has to do".
Everytime i ask her she says "idk what my sister has to do, or if she has to work or not"...she even does it in school. She always has excuses. She said "im not going home after this community service project".....but she also said that she wasnt staying. Anyways, it was 40 minutes b4 the project was over, and I didnt see her anywhere in sight. She was gone!
So she basically had excuses the whole time.

idk maybe something cxame up where she had to leave early....but i doubt that. It's like, when the guys are not around...I cant get a ride home...none of the girls ever wanna do it. But i see guys giving girls rides all the time.

I really need my license and car b4 september or Im gonna be in real trouble...and my mom is the root of the problem

Why won't your mom put you in driver's ed? Has your counselor told her that she things she should? I guess that there's nobody else who could teach you to drive?

As an 18 year old you are a legal adult. You no longer need your mom's permission to take a class. You can put yourself in driver's ed. Go for it on your own! You will be glad you did.

Totally agree here. It will suck if you don't take it. Why doesn't your mother want you to take driver's ed? Does she think you're incapable of it? I know a lot of mothers get freaked out when their kids get to this age, especially if they have an ASD, but it's really not a big deal unless you're purposely goofing off in the car.

I have no money, and the class requires money and a permit

There are probably ways you can get a scholarship for it. Most important thing, talk to your counselor about it and explain the problem. Because you need to be able to drive. You might want to talk to your mother again about it.
