This is a new blog I posted from wordpress.com. It talks about how I have the difficulty understanding when somebody is trying to joke around with me, or trying to manipulate me.

Please feel free to leave a comment!

I commented on your blog and I added it to my bookmarks.

I have experienced this problem also. I was deceived by a bully’s false friendship several times, and because of that I have appeared to some as being mean-spirited (because I’ve automatically dismissed genuine people who were trying to offer their friendship to me).

There are usually several red flags I look for:
- Are they whispering and giggling with their group of friends before they approach me?
- Are they treating me differently than they are treating the other people in the room?

When I am not sure, what I usually do is be kind to them and accept their friendship until I am really sure.
