...have problems realizing other people aren't listening to you? I have never been able to understand whether someone can't hear me or is just ignoring me. I get both all the time but I can't tell the difference. Is this even part of AS? If so, how do I overcome it?

Ask people, if they're listening to you.

Really? Huh, that seems like an easy and obvious solution.

I can't really tell either. Not everyone will tell you straight up if they're listening to you if you ask. Like, my mom will honestly answer when I ask but I don't think most people will.

Yeah, I'm as confused about this as you are. It's kind of embarrassing. =/

YES! It used to be worse, however.

I have had problems with people constantly ignoring me in the past. Now I just tend to get stuck in awkward silences. It is getting better though I tend to joke around with new people that I meet and that usually breaks the ice. However it does still happen though.
