My name is Gregory Abowd, I'm a professor at Georgia Tech in the School of Interactive Computing and Director of the Health Systems Institute. I am also the father of two boys with autism (ages 10 and 13). I lead a collection of students and faculty at Georgia Tech who are looking at ways technology can support the challenges associated with autism and related developmental disabilities.

One of my PhD students, Fatima Boujarwah, has taken the lead on a project to develop a prototype web-based software system to help adolescents with Autism and Asperger's to practice social problem-solving skills. The software is interactive and uses comic strip drawings, printed text, and audio narration to present social scenarios. I'm posting today because we would like to have members of WrongPlanet try out our prototype and give us your feedback. Our goal is to design a system that will be useful to the Autism community; we'd like your feedback because we'd really like the community to be involved in the design of the system.

If you'd like to participate, I am going to have Alex Plank post separately the link to the online tool. Thanks for your help.

Please contact Fatima if you have any questions or comments [email protected].

I really don't see the purpose of this post. It says you want to do something and want us to help, but your project will be posted at some unknown time in the future, at some unknown location to be decided in the future. :?:
I have a random amount of money that I will put in a random place at a random time. You can go get it, if you want to. :wtg:

I understand your confusion. I had contacted Alex Plank about the appropriateness of posting to this forum and he agreed it would be OK. Unfortunately, since I am new to WrongPlanet, it would not allow me to post a link to the system for you to directly access, so Alex was going to do a follow up and post the link. I thank you for your patience.
