Is it normal for us aspies to like academics, but not care so much about clubbing, dating, and sex? I dont care much. My older brother's friends came over yesterday and asked me what I was up to and when was the last time I got my Jimmy wet. They also found out that I will be living in the dorm and they made a joke saying "if you do our taxes we'll bring the hoes over", and I said "I dont care about the hoes" and they said "Really, when did you stop?". they made a face like I was weird not to care about girls, i know they dont think Im gay because they've known me since 2006, and they know enough about me to know that.

Idk, is it normal to feel the way I feel? all I see college as, is a place for me learning my special interests and finally being independent.

I have actually found other men's obsession with sex annoying. I have an interest, but not to an extent that I'm going to rush into unhealthy situations and unhealthy relationships for it.

There's nothing wrong with that at all, isn't that what you're there for anyways?

Except in my case I didn't give jack about academics much, so that narrows down my list to almost nothing. Not a good choice but hey, gotta live with it :(

Dumb NTs. It's all about the animal urges that make them produce more dumb spawn. Dancing around like chimps and making lots of babies is what life's all about.

First of all, that was a perplexing set of colloquialisms

That's what you're paying for, right? :) I think it's not only normal for someone with AS to feel that way, but also for a savvy consumer.

Yea, I think many young adults view college as a place for independence as well, but independence in terms of getting away from their parents and having sex and drinking and all that other junk. I'm not interested. One of my professors that I met that will be my professor for the summer program said "I didn't party either, and my friends thought I was strange for that". I like her. Hopefully she's nice in the classroom as well. I just wanna be happy in college and doing what others tell me I should do to be happy, that gets annoying and I went through it in high school, and it sucked.
