Okay, they look at you fearfully because you're serious or aloof, but when you try to dispel that misconception by talking to them they get afraid of you. How can you prove them wrong if they don't give you a chance? I'm sure everybody in life feels like that sometimes, but it just seems to happen a lot to me, and I'm so sick of it.

I also hate it when they get pissed because you give up on them, as if they ever cared in the first place.

Because they're ignorant.

That happens to me, too.

CockneyRebel is right, and ignorant people fear what they can't/don't understand.

This may sound trite, but I've found it to be true: you will find NONignorant people who WILL give you a chance, both here on WP and IRL. I've found that the ignorant ones aren't worth bothering with anyway.
