My grandfather passed away at the beginning of the week. Monday night I called someone in one of my classes, which I had to miss the next day (Tuesday) due to visitation. She said she'd call me about what went on in class - our final exam is coming up. No call. I followed up on Thursday, but she was at work, so I left a message with her mother to call me. No call. Today I went to her house and while she was on the way out to go to work, I left her with a sign to put on her fridge to call me tomorrow (Sunday).

This pisses me off. I have four exams this week and I lost two days this week to a funeral, plus there is a lot going on in the family due to this. The least this person could do is CALL ME.

It's no wonder that I get in peoples' faces in the long run. I give them an honest chance, and this is the way I get treated. Pfft.

The only way I can possibly get any attention from anyone is if I am persistent. And it has been proven yet again. No wonder I am bitter about life.

Now, maybe to demonstrate some confidence, should I point blank tell her that she's unreliable?

Instead of insulting her (telling her she is unreliable), how about you ASK her why she did not call? Because if you insult her, and then she gives you a perfectly legitimate and understandable reason why she did not call, then you would look like a fool. So it is a safer bet to ask, and you might even get some useful info in reply.

How is she supposed to KNOW that you have 4 exams, lost 2 days, and have a lot going on in the family ? You cannot expect her to be especially considerate of your situation if she does not even know your situation.

It is interesting, I was reading about this just a couple of days ago in an Aspie book: Failure to realize what another person can or cannot know about your own situation.

Good idea. Thanks for that advice. :D

I told her why I was missing class. She knew what was going on.

Update: I went to this young woman's house and left her a note to call me the next day. She called, and we met for four hours the following Tuesday. It was great!
