I know this sounds silly, but I'm starting to dislike extended weekends. The good thing is that I don't have to go to work, the bad thing is that it's a constant reminder of the fact that I have no friends, no one to socialize or interact with and nothing to do. My boss is giving us Friday and Monday off and while I'm definitely glad I don't have to go to work, the fact that I can't think of anything better to do to spend my new free time is watching TV is very depressing. Since it's a holiday weekend, my brother and his wife are going to a big BBQ that a friend of his wife is having. My sister and her husband are going to a BBQ/party that someone on his side of the family is having. Most of the people in my board game group are going to be out of town or going to other various parties/BBQs that their family/friends are having. And since I don't have any hobbies or interests other than TV watching that I can do by myself, I'm SOL. Grrrr. I hate my life.

Sad thing though is i have an 11 day paid vacation coming up... i have 2 good friends but they work random schedules and i have an online girlfriend (she has AS as well) so i have someone to talk too. if you wish to talk with me i am on here almost every night.

Sorry Bataar, I Love The 'Extended Weekends for reasons that lately I have Delt with the Niose and harred hustle, At Collage, and by Friday each week have Plenty sufficient enough of the Continious chatter of trivial things,an 'Extended weekend Means One More Day of PEACE. I do not have to play nicety-nice to shallow- minded Gals who are half my age,or hide from the occasional just post teen, whos luky he is twenty.I Like My Hobbies, and Cannot Do them at Collage, So for Me any how,I am quite looking forward to it. As far as Your Situation is, is there Some One that you could call over there for 'T-V' Watching and pupcorn?

Weird, I'm the opposite. The only reason I could ever deal with going to school everyday is because, at the end of it all, I could come home to my own secluded space and just relax. That's how I've always thought of my free time, I've never wished I could waste it all socialising.

Yes...I particularly dislike Canada Day weekend (which is this weekend) because in addition to what you mentioned there are also loud fireworks and crowds everywhere.

Hmm... could you nicely ask either your brother or sister to come along to their respective barbecues? Or does that not appeal to you?

This guy asked for your help and every response has been about "I".

Are you good at art or music?

I can relate to this. When I had jobs; I was working as much as I could partly because I had nothing else to do when I was off. I was working 9 hour days, 6 days a week' I was averaging over 55 hours a week sometimes. I liked some of my coworkers & I had no offline friends except for them so it got me out of the house & around people. When I had to cut time at the end of the week or I had a vacation off; after I caught up on my sleep; I was missing work. Working was a coping thing for me & I ended up overdoing it by pushing myself to hard; I got completely stressed. I would recommend trying to rest & enjoy your time off Bataar. You can hang-out on WrongPlanet if you cant find something else to do
