Okay, so what's happening right now is that a family member is having an birthday celebration. I thought it would be low-key, come to find out they want me to go somewhere - and if not they'll come to me!. I'm in such a straight that I feel like crying. I just found out today and I don't know what to do or say, any advice on how to handle this situation ?

I usually find someplace to hide until everybody goes away. Preferably someplace with a door that locks. If they're coming to you, leave and disappear for a while. Take a long walk, or drive around or go to a nice quiet bookstore and stay there until the party is well underway, then go home. See a movie. Just don't be where they expect you to be.

People are such thick headed slugs, they just assume everyone wants what they want.

I would probably be thinking differently if I knew ahead of time, but it's a last minute thing. I don't have any place to go except my room.. so I don't know what's going to happen. Hopefully they'll understand.

Well do you know exactly what the plan is?

If you do then try imagine before hand what is likely to happen. If you think there are going to be any major, likely problems, try to identify them and think of a solution or two. Though be flexible when it comes to this, as there are a near infinite amount of possibilities which could potentially happen.

Its what i do pretty much everyday before i have a shower in the morning. Identify what im going to do, look at potential problems, and then find solutions, though still trying to maintain the calm of solving unexpected problems when they arise.

when ever there are people over to visit i just don't leave my room, and if that dose not work... well that's why i have headphones and Symphonic metal

It's a great song, as is everything of that same album. 'Live to Tell The Tale' has me very much swept up, it seems.

What about Nemo

Kicks bum! Did you know "nemo" is Italian for "no one"? Crazy, yes!

It is Latin for "no one" or "no name"

It's still quite interesting though, you have to admit. "No name, my name for evermore."
And also consider the name of Disney film, Finding Nemo! Those guys are crafty.

So I'm guessing 'Nemo' has something of an allusion to this Captain Nemo? "The lost Endeavour" would have to be a start...
