Email exchanges?

A week ago, I was shooting a few pics of some event at the student union with my camera and I noticed a girl with a Nikon D70 (I have a newer Canon EOS 50D) in her hands was right by me shooting and he smiles at me and we talked and she told me a few pointers and we exchanged emails. I emailed her a few days later, last Friday introducing myself and thanking her and I said if you want to go out and shoot, let me know. She replied back she would love to, and I replied back let me know when.

I kinda want to email her again and ask her when does she want to meetup again. I'm not trying to turn this into a date - I'm fine with being just friends. Should I shoot her a quick message or no?

Yes. Or better yet, suggest a day/time yourself. If you put the responsibility on her to choose a time it might be never, people get busy with their regular things. Also it makes it seem like you can take or leave it, you're not that bothered. Maybe that's the case, I don't know. It's good to seem at least a bit eager. Seems like a good opportunity to hone your social skills and maybe make a friend.

Okay. Something like;

Hey (whoever). remember we said we'd go out and shoot? Well how about (so and so time and date) I'm free then, or if that's not cool for you, how about another day... Looking forward to getting together, it should be fun.

You can maybe elaborate on that a little.

That lets her know you're interested and also lets her choose to get into it or not and when... maybe try for a weekend. Most people have some free time on weekends.
