I don't know about the rest of the world, but the US it seems that one has to deal with the "lowest common denominator" in life all the time (waiting in line, etc.) In the US stupidity it seems is considered sexy.

I don't like that.

I don't like it either, Nick.

My tolerance of it does fluctuate depending on what kind of ignorance is coming out of a person's mouth.

On the other hand, I have contributed my share to the problem by playing a "dumb woman" part because it got me successfully through certain social situations when I noticed that showing my intelligence was hurting me. I wish I was strong enough to have stood by my true self and not caved to a bs stereotype, but I'm not going to deny that I made the mistake.
