Do these "guidelines" make sense to you?

Yep, it's mostly behaviour you aren't aware doing.

i've been told i don't exhibit normal body language. yet just the same people seem to be able to "read" me like a book, since i wear my emotions on my sleeve. i can't hide what i'm feeling.

This looks extremely helpful. just print it out and study it and sure enough you could easily read body language on the spot and express peoples sympathies more often :)

it's good but you can't base judgements on single movements. it only increases the probability that such an emotion is being felt.

The photos and explanations mostly make sense to me when I'm looking at them. In real time I can never catch any of it, there's more information than I can handle. If I try with someone I'm talking to, I'll lose track of the conversation and still not do very well. With just the pictures and no explanation, I would probably get about 40%-50% of them right.

Now that I've read that I fear that I might have tried fixing up my hair when talking to another guy, lol.

My body language indicates that I have a back injury. ..

i am used to being routinely misconstrued when i open my mouth, but even when i remain silent other folk all too often think my intentions are other than what they actually are. we just don't speak the same language.

Crap, I didn't realise touching my hair was a sign of flirtation.
