sometimes people can tell right away that i'm different. it's not like i say anything out of line, or do anything crazy. they know by looking into my eyes and observing my facial expressions.
i think i don't make the right kind of eye contact, or i exude insecurity. it's something though. because i'll meet guys who will talk to me a few seconds, then check me out and start treating me like i'm stupid.
i just don't get how to look respectable. i don't even dress like someone who is easy to sleep with. at all.
and girls will call me "sweetie" as though they feel really bad for me and know how stupid i am.

Yes, some people have something like aspie-dar that lets them pick up on it. It's a pretty small percentage of the population but I hate it when I encounter one of these people because I know right away I'm screwed, there's nothing I will be able to do to get on the good side of this person.

And I know right away that they know - there's a certain look they get in their eye and they will sort of study me with their head slanted and mouth maybe slightly open, like they are feeling a combination of curiousity and revulsion. I hate it when I see that look.

There were two occasions that people knew right away. One time was at the emergence ward of the hospital, when a female nurse felt out my facial features and said, "I can tell by your profile, that you were diagnosed with both HFA and Asperger's Syndrome."

The second time was when I was at a drop in centre called, 'You've Gotta Have Friends'. A 22 year old girl handed me the book, 'All Cats Have Asperger's.' and told me to read it.
