Always so ironic, can't be serious!

hi there,

often people tell me that i am so ironic, and i should at least once be serious. I myself don't know why i am so ironic, maybe often i can't take things serious others do, it doesn't seem such important too me. I am not sure, if have just more cognitive competence or i just have less empathy, and don't play a helpful friend.

Can anyone relate? Anyone a better explanation?

Yeah, I'm like this. I just don't care enough about things that other people do, so I take the piss. And I take the piss so often that people assume that I'm being sarcastic, even when I'm serious.

Yes, I have had that happen when people who do not understand something simply assume everyone is merely arguing a position.
