hi there,

i just read some great books:

from ervin goffman, that we all play theater,

and from goleman, "social intelligence".

They helped alot to understand the social behaviors and how to judge them (morally). Are there any other books which helped you to improve your social skills?

Are there any better ways to improve instead of reading books?

I've read The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness from Stephen R. Covey. Some ettiquette books might help too, but that depends on your culture and social circles.

Roleplaying and setting in practice what you've read.

@wallourdes: tell me more about the content of those books :-)

what you mean with "roleplaying", you mean really playing those games...e.g. "dungeons and dragons"?

The books are mainly about the prep work to daily activity, more attention to how you think so you don't have to be busy with managing that while you are busy. the second book is an advanced class in the first book.

Roleplaying can be the fantasy roleplay I do, but also training situations in daily life with a proffessional - real life in a controlled enviroment. Reflecting on the situations played helps you see where you get into trouble - it covers most situations.
