I am a woman and as such, if i talk to any person who has agreed to be my friend, anything i feel is null and void without some type of sexual/ romantic agenda.

You don't ask people if they agree to be your friend! That just shows the other person that you're extremely naïve and insecure.

no i just needed to bounce something off someone that had been making me sad and they were not interested.

Sorry that the person you spoke to was unsympathetic. For what it's worth, unless that person has a history of being unavailable unless they want to be, maybe it was just a bad day?
