Making friends

Im a 17 year old female and im trying to make friends but i dont know where to make any ive been looking for groups but i cant find any and i just keep feeling lonley like must of you so can anybody please give me some adivce thanks so much

For me the only way to make friends has been to find a group with people who share my special interest.
However even there things don't always run smoothly, but that is OK because I get to practice my special interest when I'm there even if no one wants to talk to me :)

I have made a couple of friends there, and people - for the most part - seem to accept me for who I am even if they don't want to be friends.

What kind of groups have you been looking for?

basically any kind of group

What are you interested in? (I know, friendship, but what interests do you have that people might share?)

For music you can try to join a fan club of your favorite artist or open your own fan club. A friend of mine did that and has lots of new friends.

For swimming there are clubs, but they are more professional and sports oriented. For bike there are groups. My hair stylist is into a biking group. They ride together all the time to different places. Its cool. He has lots of friends there.

It is just a matter of find other people who like the same things you do and hanging together with them. The Web is great for that.
