I've often thought about starting up a blog. But, I don't know what to write about.

Can I just write about my personal musings? Do I have to invent things to make my life seem super fantastic? What do you write about? I know the basic rules, obviously - I won't be revealing my second cousins address or anything like that.

I know billions of people have blogs...why do you have one?

Yea u can post your own personal musings, and just be yourself.

truthfully I use my blog to post random stuff, videos, quotes, an IM conversation with my best friend (so funny and yet so wrong  )

Anything you like? The important bit of creatinga blog is to have spontaneity on it. Other people reading it is just an added bonus, really.

If you lie on a blog, just like if you lie in real life, it'll inevitably hit you on the side of the face. Let's take a completely hypothetical situation: you say you really like modern art in all shapes and forms. Three or four months later, you say something that directly contradicts that - what will people who have been reading your blog since then think?

It's usually better to just not invent stuff. Not saying stuff is a completely different matter, by the way.

Used to. When my life got utterly depressing, I stopped hosting it - pretty sure even my life as it is now would interest only a very small number of people, so there's no point writing about it.
