Yes, but looting and rioting are not awesome. And that's what's currently happening in London.

I'm in the north it's £36.30 with a 16-24 rail card from Yorkshire. But then there's the tube. I might go though. I've never met another aspergian.

I shall try and make this one... it has been years since I went to one of the meetups. Not been to London since May either. Just going to be the fun of finding my way to the museum as I have not been there for ages.

In parts of London it is, yes. And they mostly seem to have stopped.

What's far more worrying is the police response to it, which has basically been to sit back whilst people are in potentially mortal danger and nick a few idiots afterwards.

When I was in london on saturday for the previous meet up it was fine, no signs of any problems. I think it is mostly a big fuss by the media how they like to make a fuss (remember BSE and SARS?). Also the 'rioting' seemed to occur in the evening (we will be home by then) and would not be in the museum (lol) but in TV shops or offlicences.

If I came, I'd have to stop overnight and then return the next day.

It would be fantastic if you could come.

I think Laz is doing a manchester meet up soon which you could go to without needing a hotel.

It would be very difficult and inconvenient for me to come to London. We're looking at £230 for just the train and one night's accomodation alone - ignoring transport from London Euston to the hotel plus any food, drinks and beer we have while we're in London (at London prices, which is too much for us simple pie-eating Northern folk). Can't be done. Sorry.

A Manchester meet would be much easier and cheaper.

I can't cycle it, hence, it is too far.

8O That's like, my favourite place in London. I want to come, it's just I don't know how I would go about getting there. I remember travelling there with my mum and it was absolutely hectic, all the different trains and whatnot! :?

Also I probably wouldn't be talking much because I would sprint off to look at all the cool things

If you're worried about making it, stop a night at the Southside Halls at Imperial College London. It's cheap and cheerful - for London - and is literally right next door to the Museum. Plus, there's a Spar onsite.
