Some may argue that this does not belong in the Social Skills and Making Friends forum, but I think that this post on modern "culture" may bear some relevance to the social realm.

To restate the instruction in the title would be redundant, so here's an example:

I find the constant use of "lols" in text messages annoying and pointless (ironically, I used to be guilty of this plus constant swearing in the Seventh grade)

That's why I use lolz or XD.

But really, almost everything about modern culture irritates me. Especially things like parties and holidays. Don't get me wrong, a day off from work isn't anything to complain about, but whose idea was it to take a tree, put it inside and decorate it, and then put a bunch of lights outside. And then in April we hide eggs... to celebrate the day that Jesus rose from the dead. WHAT!?!?! Or even better yet, for Halloween kids dress up in costumes and walk around to people's houses asking for candy. It's a crazy world we live in.

Kids as young as 7 owning ipods and iphones. The question is, why do they need those things? :S

I'll give you more than just one:

Too many mountains, and not enough stairs to climb.
Too many churches, and not enough truth.
Too many people, and not enough eyes to see.
Too many lives to lead, and not enough time.

I get annoyed by everyone getting infected by micro-Snookis (this may sound hypocritical considering that I enjoy watching shows like iCarly, but at least that show features someone intelligent, right?)

I hate fashion in general. To keep up with fashion is to willingly be a rat in a wheel... a money-guzzling time-wasting wheel driven by companies who take advantage of how easy it is to convince people that they need something to fit (or to stand out).

What else... I actually like LOL cats, but hate it when old people think they can connect with kids by using kitteh speak (e.g. when the crabby old cafeteria guy makes a poster that says "I can haz please clean your tray").

I dislike the way many celebrities get popular by being hated. I dislike that people are dumb enough to fall for it and keep paying attention to them.

So try to convince girls to suck their "manhood" in attempt to boost their self-esteem?
