well I started college less that a week ago, I was on my own, she was on her own, for a few days I didn't really think about it but "god I'm lonely". I talked to staff about this person and wondered if she was on her own, I realised she was an Aspie because they told me. I was surprised, never met anyone with AS other than myself, so one day she was sitting down in hall I sat down, and we became friends.
Its a strange sorta friendship because I'm used to the NT side to things, but I can see me the whole time but then again I get no bad feelings about it, in fact I feel great. :D

Anyone had any experiances like this?

Awesome! I've met several aspies at a conference dedicated to AS. The conference was for social workers, teachers and parents of kids who had AS. A lot of people (my age even) who had AS were there, it was awesome. We tried to stay in contact afterwords and start a forum, but it fizzled :(

Then I found this site :D I put a link on my forum redirecting people to register here, though I only expect a couple of them will check. Anyways, theres another conference in October, I'll probably see them all again.

Actually, that's one of the reasons I've been thinking about going back to college. Other than in a forum such as this, where better to meet a large cross-section of people, some of whom might be Aspies, and hopefully one of whom might be a potential friend.
