For those of you who read my post in love and dating this may sound familar but i will bring everyone up to date.

I am 23 years old with AS and will be graduating from college soon. In January I will be participating in a semester long career program for college students and grads which I have been looking forward to for sometime now. However the more I connect with fellow students through social networking, the more anxious I have become. So many of them seem like the fun outgoing type and appear to be typical for their age group in terms of interests. I am starting to feel like this will be a repeat of my time in school, feeling isolated and rejected. How do I handle this?

The semester-long program sounds great! Congratulations on your upcoming graduation.

It might help to remember that what people seem like online is not always an accurate picture of what they are like in person. People can make themselves look any way they want to online. You will probably find that they all have their quirks and issues, like real people do.

This program sounds like a really wonderful opportunity, and I hope you will find that it is very good for you.
