I was curious, I had gone to the grocery story yesterday and was passing through one of the aisles and I had a cart with me but I had happened to say, "Excuse me." Then the other person had a sarcastic response that said, "Scuse me." I was wondering, how do I handle a situation like that without trying to be nasty back?

If it were me, I would of just said "move it", I don't take crap from rude people.

But that's just me, I don't know if you can handle being the rude person once in a while.

It's one of my pet peeves is that type of attitude right there because it usually reminds me that it's about them.

Well at the end of the day Summer, he had no reason to be rude when you was being polite so you might as well be rude back or just simply ignore it, either way your never going to see him again.

In that type of circumstance, best just ignore them. Those people seek a reaction - they want you to be bothered - so don't give them the pleasure of letting them know they affected you. Even if you're furious, force yourself to just walk on by and keep it all in. It may continue to bug you for the rest of the day, week, year or whatever, but keep that to yourself; as long as you don't appease those other people by showing that they affected you, you're winning. They'll come away miffed because they expected to wind you up and they failed.

I had a similar experience a few years ago this rude woman grabbed my trolley and pushed it out of the way I got angry and then some people there were on her side of course even though she was in the wrong
