My "friend"/neighbor

There is a girl that lives in my apt building right next to me, we've kind of been friends. I went over and chatted with her for an hour a couple months ago. Once she said that maybe we could get together and watch a movie together. but for the past couple of weeks whenever i've called her or text messaged her, I have gotten no reply. I haven't had the chance to talk to her in person if we happened to meet in our comings and goings.

How long is a 'couple of weeks'? If it's starting to concern you, can't you drop by her apartment?

it's a polite way of saying 'no'.

i also don't really understand the "hi, how are you" about face turn greeting.

or you could drop by again.

i dunno.
