social skills are harder for me because even though i was born here in america, there are some terms and things my family just doesnt say so sometimes its harder to put my thoughts into words. its kind of weird being basically a foreigner without actually being able to speak italian (my family came from sicily) sometimes we get our grammer messed up, even though a lot of our family was born here, because it just passed from generation to generation. it takes MUCH longer for me to think of how to phrase things so it makes it EVEN harder for me to talk to people. thats why i like talking to people online better, even tho it takes me a long time to reply sometimes.

Is it a language issue only or did your family have trouble adapting culturally as well?
