I've noticed that whenever I do things very well, keeping track of my college projects, personal finances, I seem to be very aggressive. Is this normal?

If I try to be gentle, I totally loose everything. I mean, EVERYTHING! My self-discipline, social skills all go down the drain when I be nice. I wonder how guys like Bill Gates or Richard Branson can be very compassionate and humane and yet be highly successful successful. I have to admit I fall in the James Cameron & Steve Jobs type, having to be aggressive & perfect...

I feel more energetic when i'm aggresive. I want to do more, i feel like i can put on a fight and handle anything/anyone. Not let anything or anyone get in my way. That's why i think i perform better. When i'm nice, i'm really calm. too calm.

Thank goodness I'm not alone. :)

If I got a chance to find out how Richard Branson became successful, I would ask him. I don't want to be a "monster" just to survive... :(

Maybe what you feel is not aggression, maybe motivation is triggered by it but not forever attached...

i feel this as well, but mainly in the other direction; if i focus on being efficient, i start becoming more 'agressive', same as when i need to use a significant amount of my strength.
i dont think it is real agression though, even though it can become that quickly, i think it is more of a 'fright or flight' type response, trying to use some of your abilities to their maximum potential either needs the extra energy, or it will close you off and allow surprises, which you prepare for by "becomong agressive" as you put it

The compassionateness and humaneness just comes with an equal or greater amount of aggression, that's all.
