I have problems communicating with my dad.

My first problem is that there are very few things that I like to talk about, so it's hard for me to find something to talk about.

My second problem is that after my first sentence (I'm not exaggerating) he interrupts me and start a really long monologue about something that may or may not have something to do with what I said.

Any advise on how I may improve my communication with him?

P.S. I love my dad. I just can't talk with him.

There are two forms of communication: oral and in writing. Aspies tend to be better at communicating in writing. In today's world that can also include electronic communications such as emails etc.
