Getting to know a fellow aspie better
At university there is this girl that lives in the building opposite mine,I am certain that she is an aspie from her mannerisms and I would like to be more friendly with her. We have only talked twice, both times many months ago.The first time was on the bus where we introduced ourselves and exchanged some information about what we were studying (me French language and her English literature,She said that that she thought I'd be doing science because I looked like "the type of person who'd be interested in that sort of thing",read into that what you will)
The second time was several weeks later. I sat near her in the cafeteria when we were both eating alone and we exchanged a few amusing stories about what we'd done in our spare time. Then we walked back to our buildings, stopping on the way to talk about what constellations we could see in the sky.
This is the limit of the interaction we have had.I now pass her occaissonally when taking the bus (as I did this morning),there was a moment where she looked over her shoulder and smiled, whether it was at me or not I can't be certain. When I see her I'd like to talk to her beyond a brief awkward glance, but at the same time I don't want to give her the impression that I'm stalking her with romantic intentions.
