I prefer people thinking of me as "different" because then (hopefully) they will try to understand my issues.

Well, as long as they're past the 8th grade.

But even the cooler 8th graders will think that anyone who has to pick on the weird kid needs to find something better to do.

Definitely naive/AS-ish. It bugs my autistic sensibilities to know people have inaccurate ideas about me, even if they have no practical impact on my life.
