Hi, have joined this community today.... already started a blog in here, have already spent some time in the chat room and reckon this place is cool!!

Introducing myself, I am a 38 year old single parent from NSW, Australia. I have a cheeky and outgoing ten year old son who was diagnosed with AS in 2004 at the age of eight. Since then, a lot of questions about my own personality and temperament have been answered - I am very sure that I too am an aspie..

I graduated in 2005 with a Diploma in Systems Administration - with Distinction. Prior to that I was working for years in various positions, just settling for what I could get. After taking two years off for full time study and gaining my Diploma, working on a help desk for a little while made me realise I needed more than that. My son was having (and still is) problems at school, and my arrangement with work was not beneficial to being available for the school, so the day I decided to look for something else, I found a great job. I am now an IT Shift Manager for a transport company. working night shift but always being at home during school hours, in case I am needed to get up to the school in a hurry. It's great, the job is perfect for me because I have no one looking over my shoulder and feel a great sense of responsibility, which is what I have always craved.

I am single, and I am happy remaining that way. Relationships simply do not work for me in the long term, for so many reasons. I had wondered for many years why, now I understand and accept my lot in life. I could always do with more friends though, although I do have difficulty interacting socially unless I am truly comfortable with a person (then I don't shut up hehehe)!

My son and I are pretty impressed with this site so far - and to see him openly admit in the chatroom that he is an aspie made me so proud as his mother, because it is something he has not ever done, except with myself and his grandmother. I have been looking for a safe place for him for some time, and now that he is getting older, his interest for this sort of thing has grown and this will be a great encouragement for him to write down his thoughts from time to time. We are both quite annoying at times but we share a good sense of humour and fun!

Anyways, I'm trying to think of more to add. I'm a Taurean, enjoy travelling, driving, BBQ's, fixing/rebuilding computers, photography, weekends away to seaside/beach locations, swimming, gym (sometimes... a gym junkie I ain't!!). Guess I've gone on long enough.. feel free to send me a message or to respond here if you want :D

Welcome to WP.

I am the high priest of the Church of Garlic. I am also a vampire. I used to have an army with 6,000,000,000 SOLDIERs. This army was stolen by a chipmunk named Bob the Llama. Bob the Llama also gave me a very inaccurate calendar and is forcing me to use it.

Tinky is very random.

Thank you Tim :)

I have just realised that I meant to post this as a reply to the Friendship "sticky", not meaning to post this as an entirely new topic! Oops!!

Regards,

Jus

I'm sure it's happened to a lot of people on here.

Topher, so glad to finally find a place to belong. I've joined other groups in the past, both online and offline, and have not felt the positivity that I have found here in such a relatively short period of time. I will definitely get on here when I can to post a few messages, though it appears this group is quite an active one so it would be hard to get to know everyone at once 8)

Thank you for your welcome, O-W-A. You gotta watch those chipmunks, they are clever but sneaky little buggers...

Especially when they're drunk and they think they're a llama. Bob the Llama started looking at yiff a few days ago. He says he likes it. He's also a priest of the Church of Bananas. It's the newest sect of the Church of Garlic. So far we have these sects: Rubber Ducks, Pie, Vegetarianism, Chocolate, Vampires, Boston Red Sox, Bananas, and Yiff.

There's a radio in werbert's fingernail... CAR!! !

Like Emperor Werbert I. I'm the one who posts most. I haven't been posting as much. I only have 66.77 posts per day. That's still more than anyone else here. But not nearly enough. If other people posted more, I could probably reach 100 posts per day. Post a lot. Never psot. Psoting is the opposite of posting.

Pillows are the answer. Pillows are always the answer. So sayeth the wise bizarre.

So you'll join? Too bad werbert is hardly ever posting anymore. At least he's not psoting.
