I feel like there's this whole other world, with kids who dress trendy, and talk about cool things, and go on road trips and I'm not apart of it. Like it's going on, and I'm sitting in bed. These people look so happy. I feel like this video
is a good visual representation of what it's like to feel friendship. Act goofy, run in the sun. Carefree. I feel very
structured and cold and rigid, and these people are the complete opposite of me.
I have a friend who is very much a part of that world. I am very much not a part of it, though I'll go along with her sometimes. Generally I feel very awkward; it's just not for me. And yet we're friends.
For me, friendship is relaxing around someone. It's having great conversations, or binge-watching episodes of a TV series together, listening to each-other's issues, going for a walk, whatever. It's true that you need to relax a little to have a good friendship with someone — but you don't have to look at what happens in that "trendy and cool" world to see what friendship is.
