No, not saying there are any controversial topics on this subforum.

Just that I was thinking about controversial topics in general, on any forum, and the fact that meek, timid, sensitive people should not be involved with them. This is true just from a social skills perspective. Very sensitive people should be moderate in their views and not get heavily involved in discussing things like politics, religion, sex (can see why Love & Dating can be so heated). Otherwise, it's possible they end up traumatised.

That's probably absolutely obvious to you. It's just that it's taken me, as a very sensitive person, up to now to realise and appreciate this. I wonder if anyone else has thought a similar thing?

I try and avoid the more controversial topics here, because I don't come here to argue with people. I used to spend quite a bit of time on politics forums and blogs, but that is impersonal and even then I didn't take much pleasure in disagreements. I would feel uncomfortable arguing with people who knew such personal things about me, and vice versa.

I was told by one therapist not to crusade because I don't have the personality for it. I'm yet to figure out what that means.
