I looked everywhere, I don't even connect with the counterculture. The most criticism I've ever got about how I present myself is that I "sound boring". I'm disappointed that this is the only thing people can say about me.

I fit a type, but I don't get along with them. Meh.

I'm assuming by "type" you mean social subcultures? If so then no, I don't identify myself with any subculture, I'm just me. I would imagine forming social groups would be easier for those that identify themselves with a certain culture.

Groupthink in itself is kind of stupid, in my opinion. It's normal during your teens and early twenties to want to "fit in" to something. Fact is, the more defined a group is, the more they will pick you apart and exclude you. Aspies seem to be notorious at breaking social molds, so your best bet is just to look for some people who are just people, and don't want to define themselves by anything.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I'm curious, what would you say about you? In a positive light I mean. I'm interested to see if it is similar to what many of the rest of us here would say about ourselves...

Oh, I chose option 1 by the way.

I don't have a type, nor do I care. I have friends who can take me as I am and that's all that matters.
