There's a guy in my class who's kind of an outsider. He's not being bullied or anything, it's just that pretty much noone talks to him and he's always sitting alone.

The main reasons are
1. He never seems to wash his hair, and he's biting his (dirty) nails all day
2. He's kind of immature and thinks himself a big artist, while really he's just drawing creepy pictures of dragons and girls which look like a 13 year old girl drew them
3. He's always invading everyone's private sphere, like suddenly standing closely behind you and watching your computer screen or trying to force himself into conversations
4. He has weird body language and talks very slowly
5. He has a strange humor nobody really can connect to

How do you deal with people like that? I feel kind of sorry for him because he's always alone and I know how that feels from experience, but since he's not being bullied like I was I think it's bearable. When I have to talk to him, I'm normal and polite. But whenever we're doing something, like going to the cinema, nobody tells or invites him. Everybody avoids ending up in a group with him.

The description might sound kind of Aspie, but I don't think he is. He's not socially withdrawn enough and seems to have no sensory issues. However I think he might have another development disorder, I don't know which one.

Do you think it's ok to just avoid this people if possible and if not try to be polite? I feel sorry for him but I really don't like him and he's kind of repulsing, so I don't want to play his friend or anything.

He probably really is very lonely and has no friends. Of course, if he took care of his hygiene, people wouldn't be repulsed. I actually can't understand how people can leave their homes without washing themselves. hell, even cats and dogs do it routinely, so what's his malfunction? If he thinks he's perfectly fine how he is, he's got a narcissistic disorder. I do pity him because he'll be continually shunned, but he has to start, and step one is proper hygiene.
