London meet-up Saturday 15th September

In short, this is a follow-up thread to 'OJani goes to London'. I'm a foreign Aspie from Hungary visiting London in September as a tourist who doesn't speak English very well and has taken in his mind the idea of going to a meet-up together with fellow Aspies while he is there. Note that I'm no way wanted to be the central figure of this event as I don't feel entitled but was firmly advised to take an active role in organizing it if I wanted to see any sort of meet-up during my visit. So here I am.

Please select the pole option which represents the place you'd like to go to the most. If you have any ideas, suggestions, questions, etc. regarding this event please post it here. (Unfortunately the Dickens Museum is not available this year due to renovation.)

All exhibitions in poll options are free. No admittance fee for the permanent exhibitions.

As for the time, it would be 10am or 11am, depending on your suggestions.

After the museum program we will go to a pub I don't yet know, I'll ask Londoners for recommendations when we know more about the place.

Do you have a tablet? You could spend your day talking to people sat opposite you through a computer.

I may come to this, I would say the British Museum or Greenwich is good

To attract a little bit more attention I post a short update on the possible place of the event. Because of its more central location and the current state of the poll it would be The British Museum. The museum is open daily 10.00–17.30, no booking required, a 3-hour tour plan can be downloaded here.

If we would limit the time spent in the BM to two hours we could also visit one other museum nearby, and then go to a pub.

I wanted to add another option to the poll, but it seems I'm out of time, I can't edit it now. So, I put it here anyway, if you'd like to choose the RAF museum (for plane lovers, 10 minutes walk from Colindale tube station, also free), please state it in your post!

I enjoy occasional visits to London, so I'd like to express my interest as a maybe

As for the poll, I have'nt any particular preferance to any of those listed, but can I suggest adding HMS Belfast to the poll ..., I'm assuming she's still moored up at the usual location on the Thames.

What about just going the pub?

The above sounds a good idea at some point , which brings to my mind; how much does a pint of lager cost in london nowadays ?
