Ok so tomorrow is my 10th wedding anniversary

After hiding for years (not socialising, not attending functions)finally i have decided to host a party.....thats kind of coming out with a bang

But as usual it will flop miserably i know for sure.

So my hubby as invited his friends, his cousins, his colleagues they would be coming
I invited my office colleagues they made vague excuses, i invited my cousins again they had vague excuses
and finally friends i have one friend but she is out of town.

So no one would be coming from my side

I would be looking like a loner standing there

Did i mess up by calling in this big party

You really won't be a loner since your husband will be there.

If his friends are there, then it can't be that bad. Throw the party, maybe next time people will come.

Well, it should be okay, since you are one of the hosts. Usually, the host will be managing taking care of guests part of the time. The rest of the time, it is considered polite for you to say hello to each person individually if you can. If it is a traditional party, the guests are supposed to make an effort to come say hello to you and chat for a moment, or at least say goodbye before they leave.

It doesn't have to suck just because you don't know the guests very well. It will be mentally tiring because it's a lot of new people, but some of them might turn out to be nice. Ask your husband to help you out to get to know them better.
