I'm frustrated because I don't have that many ways to contact other people during the day. My mother works during the day and she's using my cell until she can get her own, so I can't text my friends. Also, whenever I go on Facebook or Skype none of my friends are there because they're busy. Plus, we don't have a cordless home phone, so I don't feel comfortable talking to my friends because our phone's in the living room at home, where everybody is, so I feel it's an invasion of privacy. I'm feeling really lonely and isolated these days because I have no contacts until my mom gets home from work. That's when I can call my friends using my cell. I don't know what else to do.

Hmm, this is a tough one. perhaps you can write the people you'd like to talk to some short messages on facebook, and when they write back, reply to them during the day so you won't be as bored?

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.
