3 guys chip in to buy a hotel room that's $30 a night. Once they pay for it, the night clerk relizes the room was $25 a night so he gives $5 to the bell hop to return to the guys. The bell hop decides to kee $2 so he give the guys $3. Now each guy originally paid $10 and got one dollar back, so they each paid $9 \times that by 3 and you ge$27. Now $27 plus the $2 the belhop took is $29. What happened to the other dollar??

No, they never paid $9, they paid $10 and just got $3 back. $25 room price + $3 they get back + $2 the bellhop takes = the original $30

2+2=5, because there are four people together and Jesus is watching down on them. It's the 2+2 that makes the 4, but when you add Jesus, it becomes 5.
