One of the Asperger's student's in my class told another student that he spends a lot of time with, that she isn't his friend and that he doesn't want a friend. They play together every day at recess, eat lunch together, and spend a lot of time during class doing things together. The other student was very hurt by his comments and I was at a loss on how to explain this appropriately to the student. Any ideas on the best way to explain this to the hurt friend?
